Somalia Internal Displacement Solutions Fund (IDSF) - Overview Sheet

The Internal Displacement Solutions Fund (IDSF) was established by the Office of the Special Adviser on Solutions to Internal Displacement to the UN Secretary General. The IDSF is a “catalytic” fund that aims to support government-led solutions planning, strengthen accountability frameworks, and enhance multi-agency approaches to solutions. 

The IDSF Somalia programme commenced in February 2024 and will run to July 2026. The first year of the programme provided support to the Federal Government of Somalia in the development of the landmark Solutions Pathways Action Plan. The plan lays out a government-led framework to support 1 million IDPs to advance towards solutions. The next stage of the programme will leverage support from participating agencies in implementing the plan
